The Grange, Northington
A foremost example of the Greek Revival style in England, created 1804-1809.
After neglect and the threat of total demolition, this Grade 1 house was taken into guardianship in 1975 and is today in the care of English Heritage. In 2003 Grange Park Opera built a theatre inside the building.
The reinstatement of the grand main staircase by RJ Smith & Co. in 2009 necessitated the re-creation of missing elements. This was carried out by Winchester Joinery Ltd following their involvement with many previous projects within this building and the opera house.
